Paul Larkin, operations director, outlined what the Coalville-based business has done to mitigate the impact of the virus.

  • We have put extensive measure in place and these are been amended where appropriate daily
  • No Customers or Suppliers are allowed in the building
  • Customer service and Procurement teams have been split into new areas in the building ensuring they are a minimum of 2m apart
  • Laptops have been purchased and software installed to allow staff to work from home
  • Factory floor staff are updated on a regular basis
  • Our Quality and Safety Manager is now responsible for monitoring Government guidance and updating the team on a daily basis
  • Orders remain robust in areas affected by panic buying
  • Orders have dropped off in areas that supply caterers, pubs etc.
  • New business is difficult but we are still having meetings with Customers remotely
  • The Banks have been in touch and they are offering assistance
