Kevin Clunie has been appointed global vice president for Product Strategy & Development at Maxcess International, the web handling group that includes die-cutting experts RotoMetrics, Tidland winding and slitting systems, and web tension and torque control company Magpowr.

Maxcess said Mr Clunie brings more than 25 years of leadership across product strategy, innovation, marketing, and commercial execution in industrial manufacturing and engineered materials, with a track record of building high-performing global teams and translating customer and market insights into differentiated offerings and profitable growth.

He has held leadership roles at Avery Dennison, SABIC Innovative Plastics and REHAU, and most recently served as president of Appvion, guiding enterprise-wide commercial strategy, product management, marketing, and innovation.

At Maxcess, he will lead global product strategy, product management, marketing, and R&D. The company said he will focus on identifying and using customer insights to drive long-term product plans, ensuring execution on new product development, and enhancing systems and processes to make it easier for customers to do business with Maxcess. He also becomes a member of the Maxcess’s Executive Leadership Team, in which he is expected to play a key role in advancing innovation and maintaining the business’s competitive position globally.
