Nilpeter has appointed David Kitson in the role of managing director for the UK, succeeding Nick Hughes, who has led the organisation for more than three decades.

Mr Kitson joins Nilpeter from Robert Graphics, where he held responsibility for managing international sales activities. His experience includes senior commercial roles within the printing sector, with a focus on customer engagement and market development.

Nilpeter said the transition will take place over a defined handover period to ensure continuity for customers, partners and employees. During this time, Mr Hughes will remain involved in the business and work alongside Kitson to support the change in leadership.

“I am honoured to be joining Nilpeter UK and to take over from Nick, whose contribution to the company and the UK label industry is widely recognised,” commented Mr Kitson. “Nilpeter has a strong heritage, a loyal customer base and a clear strategic direction. I look forward to building on this foundation together with the team, focusing on long-term partnerships, performance and future opportunities for our customers.”

Nilpeter CEO Peter Eriksen said the appointment forms part of the company’s long-term plans for the UK market.

“Nick Hughes has made an exceptional contribution to Nilpeter over more than 30 years, and we are grateful that he will continue to support the business during the transition,” said Mr Eriksen. “At the same time, we are very pleased to welcome David Kitson as managing director of Nilpeter UK. His industry experience, leadership profile and commercial mindset make him a strong fit for Nilpeter and for our ambitions in the UK market. This transition ensures continuity, stability and a clear focus on the future.”

Mr Hughes, who joined Nilpeter in 1990, has been closely involved in the development of the company’s UK operations. During his tenure, Nilpeter UK expanded its presence in the label industry and established long-standing relationships with customers across the market.

“Nilpeter has been a huge part of my professional life, and I am very proud of what we have built together in the UK,” said Mr Hughes. “This transition has been carefully planned, and I am fully committed to supporting David and the team to ensure continuity for our customers. I am confident that Nilpeter UK is in very good hands going forward.”
