Aztec Label has marked a quarter-century of producing self-adhesive labels by completing a £250,000 refurbishment of its Kidderminster premises.

In addition to the work completed on its 14,500sqft premises, the company also took the entirety of its staff to Barcelona for a long weekend.

‘Our commitment to using top-of-the-range modern machinery and highly qualified staff in all aspects of the business helps us ensure that we always deliver quality products and services on time to customers throughout the UK and further afield,’ said managing director Colin Le Gresley. ‘I started the company in my home garage, but over the last 25 years we have enjoyed continuous growth to reach our current size, moving within Kidderminster six times until settling in our current location. Our newly refurbished premises now operate with innovative, modern presses and equipment and we use cutting edge management information systems to keep track of production processes.’

With sustainability a hot-button topic for many, Mr Le Gresley said Aztec has successfully implemented a full quality control system at every stage of its operation, with rigorous testing and cross checks to eliminate errors and reduce wastage. ‘We also have full traceability on the key materials used, which is pivotal for many customers whose CSR agenda is, rightly, of vital importance to them,’ he added.

Looking ahead to the next quarter of a century, the MD said Aztec Label would continue striving to remain at the pinnacle of labels success. ‘Our mission statement has remained consistent across more than 25 years of operation; to offer all of our customers the best possible quality, pricing structure and service. Our commitment to using the best equipment, materials and staff has given us an edge that is respected both by our customers and within our industry.’
