An Indonesian repro-house has become the first company in the world to install a Sumitomo Riko AGW1067N water washable processor as part of a drive to become more environmentally friendly.
Flexo Plate Digital, which serves the premium packaging and labels industry in Southeast Asia, describes itself as ‘committed to introducing the latest innovation and technologies,’ whilst ‘working with suppliers engaged in delivering more environmentally friendly products and solutions.’
‘We are very pleased with the Sumitomo Riko’s machine and flexo plate results,’ said CEO Eric Oh. ‘Our clients have started trials on our latest eco-friendly technology because of the brand owner’s environmentally friendly packaging initiatives with the highest print quality, which promotes the transition from rotogravure to flexo easier than before. As a result, we decided to install Sumitomo Riko AGW1067N, which in combination with our technological platform including Crystal XPS from Esko, will bring a higher level of differentiation for our customers: converters and brand owners.’
