IST Metz Group is further expanding its presence in Asia with a new subsidiary in Tokyo following the successful establishment of subsidiaries in China in 2010 and Thailand in 2011.

‘Demand in Asia continues to grow and we thus came to the decision to further expand our presence here,’ explained Dirk Jägers, managing director.

The main focus of the new office, IST East Asia K.K, will be to attract new clientele from outside the graphics industry.

‘We will have access to both the Japanese and Korean markets from our Tokyo base, whose close technological and economic ties go beyond the print sector,’ said Markus Thinnes, who will be taking over as head of the new company.

The experienced salesman has been working in the Japanese printing sector for the past 17 years, five of which were spent at IST. He is very familiar with the local market.

IST East Asia K.K. also represents the tenth international subsidiary of IST METZ since it was established.
