A new coalition of Italian manufacturers serving the packaging printing and converting market, Orkestra, has been established with the aim to combine their technology and excellence.

Orkestra consists of Acigraf, Brofind, Camis, Digital Flex, Eutro Log, Ferrarini & Benelli, Gama, Grafikontrol, ICR, Laem System, Simec and Uteco. The concept will promote the quality available in products and services ‘made in Italy’.

Paolo De Grandis, sales director of Grafikontrol, and coordinator of the Orkestra group, said, ‘We are pleased that customers responded positively even at short notice. It was a great success! Guests who participated in this first event appreciated the informal tone and someone asked us to organize something similar in his own country as soon as possible. I must confess that I enjoyed the atmosphere that was created, like a meeting between friends, with all the Orkestra representatives socializing cheerfully. This was precisely what we wanted to achieve.’

The official launch of the Orkestra project was held in Düsseldorf, Germany at the Lido Restaurant. The group chose to enter the international scene away from its national borders, as foreign markets are seen as its prime target.

‘Our idea is to promote Italian technology with a new spirit,’ added Mr De Grandis. ‘Future projects include organizing technology seminars combined with socializing events. It is a common ambition that Orkestra meetings and events should be remembered for their educational and informative content and also for the pleasure of being together, living in expectation of taking part in future events.
