The Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) has launched FTA Rising 20, a new recognition programme that will recognise 20 professionals under the age of 35 working in the flexographic printing industry.
According to FTA, the programme is intended to highlight emerging professionals from across the sector, including those working in press operations, research and development, sales, operations, engineering, prepress and education. The association said the initiative aims to acknowledge both current achievements and future leadership potential within the industry.
“Our industry has always been driven by people who challenge the routine, embrace innovation, and invest in the success of others,” said Nathan Ridnouer, president of the FTA. “FTA Rising 20 recognizes those emerging leaders who are already making a difference and whose influence will help define the next chapter of flexography.”
The inaugural 2026 FTA Rising 20 recipients will be selected through a competitive nomination process. FTA said nominations will be assessed across five areas: professional experience and achievement, performance and innovation, leadership and teamwork, industry involvement, and future potential. These criteria are intended to recognise career progression, contributions to the industry, measurable impact through innovation or operational improvements, leadership qualities, participation in industry activities, and evidence of long-term potential.
To be eligible, nominees must be 35 years of age or younger as of 31 December 2026 and have a minimum of two years’ employment in the flexographic or package printing industry. FTA said nominations may be submitted by companies, managers, mentors, peers or by individuals nominating themselves.
The association said the selected recipients will be featured across its publications and digital media as part of the new recognition programme for emerging professionals in the flexo printing industry.
