Fespa has confirmed that its Corrugated exhibition and conference will return in 2028 following what organisers described as a successful inaugural edition at Fira de Barcelona in May 2026.
The dedicated event for the corrugated packaging sector was launched as part of Fespa’s six-in-one exhibition portfolio, alongside Fespa Global Print Expo, European Sign Expo, Personalisation Experience, WrapFest and Textile.
Corrugated was created to provide a platform for small- and medium-sized corrugated converters navigating technological developments and regulatory changes, particularly as digital print continues to expand within graphical packaging applications.
The debut event attracted 1257 visitors from 40 countries and featured exhibitors including Advantive, Bobst, ePS, Koenig & Bauer, Canon, Durst, EFI, HP and Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems.
According to Fespa, 71% of attendees held senior management positions, including directors, CEOs, owners and managers, while an equal proportion had purchasing or decision-making responsibility within their organisations. The audience also included representatives from major multinational paper and packaging companies.
Frederic Goudard, marketing and communication manager at Bobst, commented: “It’s a key platform to exchange insights, explore industry trends and strengthen relationships which are shaping the future of packaging.”
Nick Kirby, Fespa Corrugated ambassador, said the inaugural event had established a strong foundation for future editions.
He said: “I have been waiting in anticipation of the event, and I believe that we delivered a very successful debut. We had good footfall to the Corrugated area and great conversations were had on the show floor. Coupled with the conference providing insightful presentations across market trends and the future of the industry, the overall feedback from visitors and exhibitors has been overwhelmingly positive. We have developed a solid foundation for Corrugated and I am excited to support Fespa in building on that for future editions.”
The event’s return in 2028 follows positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors, with organisers positioning Corrugated as a dedicated platform for the evolving corrugated packaging and digital print sectors.
