North American flexo plate provider Pacificolor has added to its leadership team with the appointment of industry veterans Tad Timmler and Joe Muller to key operational roles.

Mr Timmler has joined as operations manager at the company’s Salt Lake City headquarters, bringing extensive experience in manufacturing leadership, process optimisation and continuous improvement.

Meanwhile, Mr Muller joins Pacificolor’s Minneapolis site as operations and technical manager, with a focus on strengthening the company’s technical support capabilities, working directly with customers on press-side assistance, print approvals, customer fingerprinting, press characterisation and onboarding programs.

Pacificolor, which supplies flexo plates for the flexible and corrugated packaging markets in North America, said the appointments are part of its broader investment strategy to expand technical resources, enhance manufacturing capabilities and provide customers with the highest levels of service and support in the flexographic marketplace.

Prior to joining Pacificolor, Mr Timmler held leadership roles at Handstands and at Dometag Brand Labels. His background includes leading complex production environments, implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, and developing operational strategies that improve throughput and reduce waste.

Mr Muller will help customers to optimise plate performance, improve print consistency, and achieve greater efficiency throughout the production process, overseeing daily operations at Pacificolor’s Minnesota plate manufacturing facility and managing GMG proofing operations.

“Flexographic printers are continually looking for greater consistency, efficiency and technical support from their suppliers,” said Nick Brunk, chief revenue officer at Pacificolor. “The addition of Tad and Joe strengthens our ability to deliver the operational expertise and customer collaboration required to help printers achieve their production goals.”
