Polyart Group has acquired Glatfelter Caerphilly from Magnera Corporation in a move that expands its presence in the premium label market. The business will operate under the name Polyart Metallised UK.

Based in Caerphilly, Wales, Glatfelter Caerphilly employs 44 people and manufactures metallised facestock papers used in pressure-sensitive label applications. The company supplies facestock materials for labels used in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food packaging and home and personal care products, and also produces wet-glue label solutions, particularly for beer bottles.

Polyart Group said the acquisition broadens its product portfolio, adding pressure-sensitive and wet-glue label solutions while expanding access to metallising and lacquering technologies. The company also said the deal would enhance production capacity and supply capabilities through the Caerphilly facility.

Stéphane Daveau, chief executive of Polyart Group, said: “We are thrilled to welcome our Glatfelter Caerphilly colleagues to the Group. This acquisition strengthens our commitment to offering comprehensive, high-end labelling solutions while fostering sustainable growth for our customers and stakeholders.”
