ExO, a new global production alliance between agency group extreme Group and US-headquartered prepress company Olberding Brand Family, has successfully won a packaging production tender from L’Oreal for brands in its Consumer Products division in Europe.

The joint venture combines “human creativity, intelligent automation and industrial performance”, and has ambitions to become a leading player in the prepress industry “as a people-centric technological alternative to global packaging production groups, relying on AI-driven innovation, client proximity and industrial quality”.

Its offering to L’Oreal, and any subsequent clients, is around enhanced brand consistency, improved regulatory and packaging compliance, faster multi-country launches and cost optimisation via agile and rationalised processes, it says.

Extreme is an international communication consulting group that addresses client needs through three pillars of design, experience and reputation. The €50 million organisation operates in the Food & Beverage, Luxury & Beauty and Societal Transformation sectors. Olberding Brand Family, meanwhile, is a prepress business with its HQ in Cincinnati, USA.

The joint ExO venture operates in eight countries (USA, Mexico, Brazil, France, UK, Italy, China and Malaysia) and has 770 employees.
