Family-owned finishing equipment manufacturer, A B Graphic International (ABG) has appointed Simon Nadin as its new CEO designate, effective since 2 April 2024.

A structured transition period alongside the outgoing CEO, Richard Knight, will take place until the end of the year, after which Mr Nadin will officially assume his appointment, explained ABG.

Bringing a portfolio of experience and leadership from various sectors including switchgear, electronics and gearbox industries, Mr Nadin, explained the company, will look to grow and anticipate future innovation to continue the company’s success.

Describing himself as a ‘well-rounded leader’, focused on market expansion and profitable growth, Mr Nadin’s career has been marked by achievements in operations, engineering, and later in sales, commercial and business development roles. ABG said his commitment to innovation and excellence aligns with its core values, making his appointment a pivotal development.

Looking ahead, Mr Nadin said his vision for the company revolves around enhancing customer value and innovation through significant investments in people and product automation. Aiming to drive the company’s business excellence further, leveraging his background knowledge, Mr Nadin hopes to work closely with the ABG’s existing owners and leadership teams, to preserve the company’s culture, he said.

ABG has described Mr Knight as ‘instrumental’, achieving growth through the challenges of recent years. Mr Knight, who planned his retirement for the end of 2024, reflected on his tenure describing it as a ‘privilege’ to work with the ABG team. ‘I am confident that Simon will not only continue the great work we’ve started but will also take ABG to new heights,’ said Mr Knight.
