Prepress house Reproflex3 has announced an investment of £500,000 (€580,000) intended to help it grow and improve its corrugated packaging prepress offering.

The investment has paid for a dedicated corrugated studio at its UK headquarters, as well as bringing in new processing and production equipment, new staff and a refit to its sites in New Zealand.

In New Zealand, production areas in Auckland and Christchurch will be refurbished, while a new plate processing machine and two AV Flexologic mounting tables will be installed. A new washout facility will allow Reproflex3 to take on wider format work.

Because of this investment, the company said it will be able to offer faster turnaround times, and improved accuracy and consistency in corrugated packaging production. ‘We are investing to create a new category in the Post Print sector by increasing print quality, print process stability and print efficiencies,’ said Reproflex3 CEO Andrew Hewitson.

‘This is just the start of our investment into corrugate. We plan to grow globally as well as locally as the market responds to our innovations. We will continue to work strategically with companies that have a vision to accelerate their growth and profitability as we’ve successfully done with the flexible packaging industry.

‘Our mission is to provide customers with the highest quality corrugated packaging whilst reducing the time and cost associated with its production.’
