British manufacturer Edale, engineer of printing and converting options for the packaging industry, has appointed Luke Harris as UK sales manager.

Mr Harris is joining the company from his role at Fujifilm as business development executive. He will be joining forces with business development manager, Louise Bailey, to support Edale’s growing presence in the UK market.

‘After operating in the commercial market for the best part of three and a half years at Fujifilm, the challenge of moving into the labels and packaging industry really excited me,’ Mr Harris commented. ‘When the opportunity to work for Edale presented itself, it was an opportunity I couldn’t refuse.’

Mr Harris continued, ‘I look forward to meeting customers in-person, as well as virtually and at our UK headquarters over the coming months. I’m keen to learn more about their business and to discuss Edale’s technology and range of presses.’

Darren Pickford, sales director at Edale, said, ‘I am delighted to welcome Luke to the team. Whilst we already have a strong presence in the UK market, our strategy is to continually strive to improve and expand our reach. With Luke onboard, we can engage with more customers in the UK and better serve the future of our customers in the flexible packaging industry. The market is not without its challenges, including supply chain issues, rising costs and new legislation around plastic tax. Nevertheless, Luke and the sales team are eager to provide support and printing solutions to help our customers through these challenges.’
