Bobst machinery has been installed at two British companies. A Master-Flex HD flex press had arrived at DS Smith whilst Curtis Packaging has installed a a new die-cutting machine.

DS smith, a leading provider of corrugated packaging, opted for the 2100 x 1300mm press after identifying a strong desire for high quality printed cases and wraps from customers operating in its core beverage market.

General manager Frank Hay commented, ‘Bobst’s press has delivered everything we expected and more. We have had great feedback from our customers about the superb quality of print, echoed by the number of awards we have picked up since its installation, and our print capabilities have presented us with a number of new business opportunities that might not have come on to our radar without our investment in the Master-Flex HD.’

Meanwhile folding carton specialist, Curtis Packaging, has installed a Novacut 106 E at its 20,000sqft site in Redhill, replacing an existing die-cutter that was adding complexities to the production line.

‘With Bobst, you always know what you are going to get and we have always held great affection for the company,’ said managing director James Williams. ‘The build quality of the Novacut is clear to see; it’s well built and crucially, very operator friendly.’
