Pamarco Global Graphics is investing in additional laser engraving capacity for its plant in Warrington, in the UK, as a result of continued growth in demand across EMEA flexo printing markets.

Nick Walker, general manager of Pamarco Europe said, ‘This addition is the latest phase of our five year strategic growth plan. Quality, consistency and service are our drivers and all these investments are key to achieving these efficiently, ensuring Pamarco quality is available at competitive pricing.’

The addition of a ALE multi-beam laser, which is due to be completed during Q4 2014, will allow the company to meet the demands of its OEM and converter customers for improving service times.

Over the last two years, the focus for the European plant has been upgrading capabilities and adding capacity in grinding, lapping and polishing. There has also been a major upgrade programme for the ceramic coating facility, adding the latest, most efficient Sulzer plasma spray equipment to ensure high quality coatings.

John Burgess, president of Pamarco’s flexo division commented, ‘Pamarco’s policy is to use only best in class, state of the art process equipment. This is demonstrated by our investment in multi-beam fibre lasers from ALE, which have been added to each of the production facilities annually for the last five years.

Consistency and repeatability from job to job and plant to plant are demanded by our global customers, whether for new press installations or the re-engraving aftermarket.’
