Vetaphone has selected Berkshire Labels for its Mark Andy P7

UK label converter, Berkshire Labels, has chosen Vetaphone corona treatment technology for its recently installed Mark Andy P7 flexo press.

The new eight colour Mark Andy is part of managing director Paul Roscoe’s plan to future proof his company and align its flexo and digital capabilities. Currently 65% of the label printer’s output is paper-based substrates, but this is predicted to change as more use is made of the P7’s filmic package of technology that allows converting of 15-400 microns unsupported filmic material.

With the web industry expanding out of its traditional self-adhesive label market and into new areas of package printing, converters are learning to cope with a variety of new and expensive substrates that require consistent surface treatment.

‘We are delighted to be the preferred supplier to Berkshire Labels,’ said Kevin Mckell, sales and marketing, Vetaphone.
