Keith Fell, who previously worked for Innovia Films, is now general manager of Futamura’s European operations.

Privately-owned Japanese manufacturer of cellulose and polymeric films for the packaging market, Futamura, has completed its acquisition of the Innovia Films cellulose business.

The acquisition includes the brands of NatureFlex compostable films and Cellophane. Futamura will provide a sustainable future for over 400 jobs at its manufacturing sites in Wigton, Cumbria and Tecumseh, Kansas, USA and the company’s global commercial offices.

Keith Fell, who has 44 years in the cellulose films industry, has been appointed general manager of Futamura’s European operations.

The acquisition is the perfect marriage; we bring with us a wealth of expertise and knowledge of sustainable, compostable films and our cellulose production facilities complement Futamura’s strong manufacturing capabilities.’
