Nilpeter USA has provided Clemson’s College of Business with a 13″ FB-3 servo press valued at more than $900,000.

Students on Clemson University’s graphic communications programme will be able to learn how to produce promotion labels, folding cartons, and flexible film on the flexo press.

‘Nilpeter’s gift is an investment in the next generation of packaging design leaders,’ said Clemson’s president, James Clements.

Clemson employs a hands-on approach to package design and printing education that gives students an employability advantage. The programme boasts a 95 percent employment rate upon graduation.

‘By operating the latest and most innovative technology, we aim to inspire skilled students to positively influence the printing industry in the years to come,’ said Lars Eriksen, CEO and owner of Nilpeter. ‘We look forward to our future cooperation with Clemson University faculty and students.’

The Nilpeter gift is part of Clemson’s 10-year ‘The Will to Lead’ capital campaign, which concluded this year, surpassing its $1 billion goal.
