Polyprint Georgia has expanded its production capabilities with the installation of an Omet KFlex flexo printing press, marking the company’s entry into roll-fed label production alongside its existing sheet-fed offset operations.

The Georgian printing company has built its business producing printed packaging and commercial products for customers in the food, beverage, wine and consumer goods sectors using sheet-fed offset technology. The new investment broadens its production offering into premium label applications.

Polyprint said it selected the Omet KFlex following an evaluation of available technologies, citing the press’s versatility, automation and print quality.

The press will be used to produce aluminium foil labels, wrap-around wine labels and self-adhesive labels, with inline capabilities including printing, cold foil application, lamination, varnishing and die-cutting in a single production pass.

According to the company, integrating these processes is intended to reduce production time, improve production efficiency and minimise material waste while supporting the manufacture of more complex label applications.

The investment expands Polyprint’s presence in the premium packaging market, where demand for decorative labels continues across sectors including wine, spirits, cosmetics and specialty foods. The company said the new press will enable it to produce labels featuring metallic finishes, tactile varnishes and other decorative effects using inline converting processes.

Polyprint said the addition of flexo printing complements its established sheet-fed offset expertise and provides greater production flexibility as it expands its product portfolio. The company expects the investment to support future growth while broadening the range of packaging solutions it can offer to customers.

Tatyana Gaponova, Area Manager at Omet, said: “During my visit to PolyPrint in Tbilisi, I was impressed by the company’s commitment to quality and professional printing services. I believe that Omet is proud to serve the Georgian market by providing innovative, reliable, and high-performance printing and converting solutions that help Georgian printing companies improve productivity, quality, and competitiveness. We look forward to strengthening our cooperation with local partners and contributing to the continued growth of the printing industry in Georgia.”
