Ink and coating manufacturer Wikoff has appointed Sachin Nayar as chief technology officer, effective 1 September 2026.
Mr Nayar joined Wikoff in December 2024 as vice president of research and development and will continue to report directly to president and CEO Mark Lewis. The newly created role places technology and innovation within the company’s senior leadership structure.
“Sachin’s leadership has helped elevate our R&D organisation into a strategic driver of innovation and growth,” said Mr Lewis. “His appointment as chief technology officer reinforces the importance of technology to our strategy and ensures innovation remains focused on customer needs and long-term growth.”
Since joining Wikoff, Mr Nayar has overseen changes to the company’s R&D function, including the establishment of centres of excellence designed to bring together technical expertise from across the organisation. His work has also included a greater focus on new product development, as well as regulatory and formulation processes.
Mr Nayar has more than 20 years of experience in the inks, coatings, pigment dispersions and specialty chemicals sectors. Before joining Wikoff, he was director of ink innovation at BIC Corporation, where he led the development of stationery inks focused on clean chemistry.
Earlier in his career, Mr Nayar worked on inkjet ink platforms at Eastman Kodak Company before taking on global technical leadership roles at AkzoNobel and PPG Industries.
