German Smart-ID manufacturer starcodegroup has invested in a Chrome RFP 450S 8-colour sleeve machine with folding option, together with three RDF 540/580 fully automatic blank label solutions from Rotocon.

The investment is part of starcodegroup’s plan to develop new labelling solutions. Andrzej Kawiorski, production manager at starcodegroup, said the investment in Rotocon’s technology is a decisive step forward for the company.

He added: “The combination of high automation, precision, and nonstop performance significantly increases our manufacturing flexibility and reliability. This allows us to meet complex customer requirements with consistently high quality, shorter lead times, and maximum process stability – even at growing volumes.”

The Rotocon RFP Chrome 450S flexo press has a fully servo-driven system and supports a range of automation and performance-enhancing options, including an inline folding feature that produces folded labels directly during printing. Each sleeve printing unit is powered by three servo motors. Rotocon’s RDF 540/580 has advanced servo control, automated roll changes, and web handling which enables blank label production with minimal downtime.

“At starcodegroup, we continuously develop innovative products in the field of customised identification solutions, from highly specialised labels to RFID technologies and complete ecosystems,” said Florian Oberndörfer, starcodegroup CEO and owner. “Our collaboration with Rotocon enables us to realise even the most complex ideas with efficiency and reliability. With Rotocon’s printing and finishing equipment, we’re taking another step forward in combining our innovation with their advanced machine technology. Together, we’re expanding what’s possible in smart label production.”
