MicroDynamics has integrated its anilox inspection technology into BW Converting’s new PCMC Meridian Elite+ laser roll cleaner. BW Converting said MicroDynamics was selected as its technology partner because of a shared commitment to accuracy, innovation, and standardisation.
The non-exclusive partnership sees MicroDynamics’ Veritas inspection microscope and MicroScan3 analysis software integrated directly into BW Converting’s Meridian Elite+ laser roll cleaner. The new system recently debuted at FTA Forum InfoFlex 2025 which ran from 4-7 May in Pittsburgh, USA.
The laser roll cleaner is engineered for converters seeking to improve print repeatability, reduce defects, and extend roll longevity. By automating roll cleaning and inspection, the system reduces manual intervention, freeing up operators to focus on other critical tasks while capturing consistent, accurate inventory data for optimisation, explained BW Converting.

The Meridian Elite+ integrates MicroDynamics’ technology to deliver fully automated anilox cell volume measurements with ±1% repeatability, said BW Converting. Powered by the Veritas microscope and controlled via the Meridian Elite+ HMI, measurements are stored in a built-in database using MicroScan3 software, enabling traceability and optimised roll maintenance.
Advanced automation also allows seamless integration with the PCMC Accelerate data services platform, enhancing analytics and smart features for safer, more efficient laser cleaning.
