Armenian printing company Ginap, known by its factory name Flexopack, has expanded its production capacity with the acquisition of two Rotocon Chrome RFP flexographic printing presses. The first press, a Chrome RFP 340 model, was installed earlier this month at Flexopack’s facility.

The purchase followed a demonstration of the press at the drupa 2024 printing trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, where Flexopack general director Manuk Manukyan confirmed the order. The RFP 340 press features eight printing units, a die-cutting station, Bosch Rexroth drive technology, BST automatic web guiding, eight LED UV dryers, and a cold foil unit. It is specifically configured to print on polyamide sausage casings using 395nm UV LED lamps.

During the event, Flexopack also ordered a Rotocon ProCut S330 die-cutting machine for label finishing. Following the successful installation and team training led by Rotocon technical sales manager Sachin Sukhlal, Flexopack placed a second order for a Chrome RFP 450 press, equipped with 10 printing units and intended for producing in-mould labels.

“With the new presses, we aim to enhance our printing quality and meet increasing customer demand,” said Mr Manukyan. “The support from Rotocon during the installation process has been instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition.”
