Flexo press manufacturer Edale is set to hold a carton production event on 24 June 2025 at its headquarters in Fareham, Hampshire. Titled “We Are Rethinking Carton Production: Be part of the conversation”, it will give attendees the opportunity to discover how a single-pass carton production line can unlock new commercial potential in the packaging market.
“Packaging businesses of all sizes are under pressure to reduce their work in progress, adapt to industry trends and keep up with the latest requirements as well as deliver faster, reduce costs, and be more profitable,” said James Boughton, managing director at Edale. He added that the event will provide a practical look at the carton production process from print through to finishing, creating a collaborative forum about the carton production industry.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to see the Edale FL5 press in action first-hand. They will be able to discover the mechanics and commercial advantages of single-pass production, including how it can reduce setup time, waste, work in progress and labour, all while delivering premium-quality cartons with inline embellishments like reverse print, lamination, cast & cure, varnish, emboss, drip off varnish, cut & crease, and stripping.
The event will include a session from Jo Stephenson, managing director of Think B2B Marketing. She will share insights into the packaging industry’s trajectory, including looking at the influence of AI and the evolving regulatory challenges. Other industry speakers are still to be confirmed.
