High-tech label producer Schreiner Group has appointed Brian Zumbolo as the new president of its US plant in Blauvelt, near New York, replacing Gene Dul, who is retiring after 15 years in charge of the production site.

The 80-employee facility produces products for the North American market, and Mr Zumbolo said he sees an opportunity to ‘take the business to a new level of growth and expansion’. He added, ‘I believe Schreiner Group has great market potential in the United States. In the future, I see our potential as equaling that of the Schreiner Group business in Europe.’

Mr Zumbolo has experience in the Group’s two most important markets of healthcare and mobility, most recently for a major supplier in the automotive industry. Schreiner Group said he has experience in developing new markets, and in acquisitions, driving customer specifications, and developing strong teams.

‘I am pleased that we were able to attract such an experienced leader for our largest international facility so quickly,’ said CEO Roland Schreiner. ‘With his experience and vision, Brian Zumbolo is a great asset to Schreiner Group.’

For Mr Zumbolo, the move to the Blauvelt site means a return to the New York area from where he originated, having spent the last 25 years in Minneapolis. The plant was founded 15 years ago and has since developed much both in terms of employee numbers, sales and product diversity.
