Italian slitter rewinder manufacturer Cason has introduced the latest version of its technology, the Evolution 4.0 series, equipped with the new Cason Hub Platform System.

Included in the series are the Innova Matic double turret and the Innova Biback dual shaft systems, but Cason says the cornerstone of Evolution 4.0 is the Hub Platform System, a ‘cyber-physical solution’ that integrates functionalities in both the hardware and software of the machine, allowing for an efficient and adaptable slitter capable of handling different products and materials.

There are multiple access points for customising and for integrating systems such as robotic unloading, perforator units, web cleaning systems, tape dispensers, and auto core loading and positioning, giving the Evolution 4.0 series extensive flexibility.

An example of the Hub Platform System’s capabilities is the integration of the Innova Matic Evolution 4.0 double turret slitter rewinder with an ABB anthropomorphic robot, enabling fully automatic and flexible unloading operations without human intervention.

Davide Da Zanche, sales director of Cason, commented, ‘The Innova Matic Evolution 4.0 series is not only a collection of technical features and innovations for slitters but also a fresh approach to understanding customers’ projects. With the strong foundation of the Hub Platform System, customers can collaborate with us to tailor their slitters according to their specific production needs.’
