Whitmar Publications is delighted to confirm that Andy Knaggs has rejoined the company, this time as the editor of FlexoTech. Mr Knaggs has been writing about print since 2000, and was previously the editor of Digital Printer and Print & Paper Monthly.

He replaces Charlie Kortens, who had edited the magazine since May of this year. Though he only edited the magazine for a short time, Mr Kortens has decided to relocate to a different part of the country to be nearer his family. His next role will not be within the print sector.

Whitmar’s managing director Lindsey Pearson commented, ‘I’d like to thank Charlie for his efforts over the past few months. He hasn’t had a long tenure, but I’m grateful for the efforts he’s made over the last few issues and wish him well in his new venture.

‘Nevertheless, I am delighted to welcome Andy back to the Whitmar family. Having worked with him in the past, I know that he has all the skills needed to take FlexoTech forward and I’ve no doubt that he will have lots of interesting and innovative ideas.’

Outgoing editor Mr Kortens added, ‘I have enjoyed my time with FlexoTech immensely, and will always be grateful to Lindsey for the opportunity and the support she has provided during my time with the magazine. Still, life takes unexpected turns sometimes and I am very much looking forward to this next chapter.’

Finally, Mr Knaggs himself concluded, ‘I’ve long been aware of the high regard that FlexoTech commands within the industry, so it’s an exciting opportunity for me to return to the front line of print industry trade journalism at this moment, and with this magazine. I’ve written a lot about the commercial print sector in the past, and I’m sure that will stand me in good stead as I start to learn more about the challenges facing printers and converters in the dynamic flexo market.’
