Global Graphics Software has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise. The Cambridge-based company is one of 220 companies in the UK to be recognised for its ‘excellence in innovation’.

Specifically the award recognises the development of ScreenPro, screening software that corrects quality defects that occur due to the physics of jetting ink onto substrate.

ScreenPro is effective in single pass and multi pass inkjet printing using any electronics or printheads and can be applied to any workflow. It is now in use in several applications including wall coverings, textiles, ceramics, packaging, flooring and labels.

‘We are humbled to receive this honour from Her Majesty the Queen,’ said managing director Justin Bailey. ‘It recognises the innovative thinking of our teams and the quality of the software they produce. ScreenPro has the potential to transform digital print. It makes it possible to print a greater number of jobs digitally by removing artefacts from printed output. As a supplier to the global printing marketplace I feel sure that this award will help us with sales of our technology in countries who associate British technology with the highest quality.’
