Comexi has publicly congratulated Sigoplast, a French company specialising in the design of plastic packaging, on its recovery from a fire which completely destroyed its facilities in Saint Pal de Mons.
Two years on from the disaster, Sigoplast has opened a new 5000sqm plant, a full 1000sqm larger than the previous facility. The opening ceremony was attended by local authorities, representatives from Comexi, customers and other partners.
The company has also acquired two flexo presses, a Comexi F2 MC and a Comexi F2 MB which will be housed in the new premises. The former is designed for both medium and long runs while the latter is purely for medium runs.
‘From Comexi we congratulate Sigoplast on the new facilities, and we hope that they will return to normal in terms of production as soon as possible,’ said area manager Olivier Gibert.
