ABG International and Kocher+Beck have formed a strategic alliance in order to acquire Spanish labelling, converting and packaging equipment manufacturer, Enprom Packaging.

The two finishing companies have worked together for many years, and ABG managing director Mike Burton believes that by taking this step, together the businesses can lay the foundation for further growth.

‘ABG International and Kocher+Beck are successful, family-led businesses, which are well-established in the world of narrow web and converting,’ Mr Burton explained. ‘Acquiring Enprom offers an exciting opportunity for us to strengthen and expand our offerings in web-based processing and will allow us to enter into new market segments, with reduced risk.’

‘I am impressed by the skills and experience of the Enprom team, which will help to speed up and streamline the development of the next generation of winding equipment,’ added Lars Beck, CEO at Kocher+Beck. ’At the same time, shared structures, synergies and a worldwide network of distribution partners will help all three businesses to be faster to market.’

Girona-based Enprom’s product range includes equipment for shrink sleeve converting, slitting and rewinding, label finishing, coating and lamination and hybrid converting.
