Russian company Tom has purchased two Comexi presses, an F2 ML 10 and an F2 MC 10.

With a maximum speed of 500m/min the presses, which both boast 10 colours, will allow the Siberian-based flexible packaging manufacturer to work faster and spend less time on changeovers.

In addition, the large format of the F2 ML, 1160mm, represents an advantage for Tom, allowing it to satisfy larger repeat prints for their portfolio. This lets the company compete in markets such as pet food, gardening bags and even wrap around bottles and cans.

‘The F2 ML 10 and F2 MC 10 , bring our existing production chain to a total of six Comexi machines,’ said deputy general manager Sergey Maltsev. ‘As a result of the print speed and quality offered by Comexi products, we have been competitive in the market for more than 10 years. Likewise, we are very satisfied with the quality technical service and timely support provided by the company’s specialists at any stage of production. We look forward to continuing this valuable collaboration with Comexi.’

The F2 ML is the biggest member of the F2 family product line and is designed for the demands of the polyethylene market. Meanwhile the F2 MC flexo machine is more versatile able to perform medium and long runs in the flexible packaging market for the retail and wholesale channels.
