Teknek, manufacturer of solutions for web cleaning, will be exhibiting at North Print & Pack, which takes place from May 14-16.
Under the name of Label City, the company will be exhibiting alongside other leading suppliers to the label market. The concept came from a desire to offer a platform to both current and potential customers helping them to gain a snapshot of the latest innovations in the label sector.
It will give an overall understanding to companies with a future ambition of label printing of the best component parts within which to set up a production facility capable of manufacturing and printing high quality labels.

Contamination is a key issue for label producers. Particles landing on the web from a variety of sources are transferred to the printing plate leading to hickies and inclusions. This creates considerable down time as the press needs to be stopped while the plates are cleaned.
Moreover, the misprinted material will need to be scrapped at considerable cost to the manufacturer. The company’s clean machines are widely used by the label industry to negate these problems. A uniquely formulated elastomer roller gently removes particles down to one micron in size from the web surface leaving it contamination free and ready for printing. The particles are then transferred on to a special reverse-wound pre-sheeted adhesive roller.
