Scottish comedian Fred MacAuley will be entertaining the guests at the FlexoTech Awards in October

 

This year’s presenter at the FlexoTech International Print & Innovations Awards is comedian Fred MacAuley.

Before his comedy career took off, Fred studied at the University of Dundee and graduated with an MA in Accountancy and Jurisprudence. He received an honorary doctorate (LLD) from the same University in 2006 in appreciation of his time there as Rector.

Fred has regularly performed at the Edinburgh Festival, clocking up his 25th year there in 2013, and has also toured extensively with his stand up show. He has made many guest appearances on popular TV shows such asHave I Got News For YouandThey Think It’s All Over, as well as co-hosting three series of the talk showMcCoist and MacAulay.

In addition, Fred has been involved in more than 10 series on BBC Television in Scotland and the UK. He has hosted BBC Radio Scotland’sMorning Showsince 1997, is a regular panellist on Radio 4’sThe News Quiz, and has appeared onJust A MinuteandI’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue.

Fred is much in demand for after dinner entertainment and awards presentations throughout the UK and his work has also taken him to America, France, Hong Kong, Sweden, Iceland and Australia. Married with three children, Fred’s a keen skier and a golfer with a temporarily high handicap.
