The team at Iran Rotative

Soma Engineering has installed a 1600 mm wide, Pluto III slitter rewinder at the Printing Training and Exhibition Centre (PTEC) of its agent Iran Rotative, in Tehran.

Following installation, the Pluto III was demonstrated during a two day open house at the PTEC where attendees included visitors from the company’s home market as well as from Iraq, Afganistan and Kuwait.

The Pluto III slitter/rewinder with space saving, integrated unwind unit offers mid and wide web printers and converters a cost effective solution for slitting a wide range of substrates. High efficiency is achieved through shaft-less unwind, higher operating speeds and larger unwind and rewind roll diameters of 1000 mm and 635 mm respectively. Rigid construction and automatic knife positioning complete a package of features normally only found on more expensive models.

‘The installation of the Pluto III at our Printing Training and Exhibition Centre reflects our commitment to the flexible packaging market said,’ Tomas Vrana of Iran Rotative. ‘Our sales and service team has undergone intensive training and are ready to support both our home and export markets. The June open house supported by Soma service personnel was extremely successful and we are already planning a second event scheduled for autumn 2014.’
