Wrexham-based Etiquette Labels has seen a reduction in CO2 emissions of over 50% and cut bills by £4500 following the installation of a Vickers energy management system.

After committing to an environmental policy to address the company’s carbon footprint, the system was installed to control four Ambi-Rad Radiant Tube Heaters within the finished goods and production areas.

The sophisticated self-learning system regulates and monitors temperatures throughout areas of the site and ensures the heaters are working to their optimum efficiency. This has resulted in a reduction of 24 tonnes of CO2 emissions with a return on the initial investment within eight months.

Christiane Gough, director at Etiquette Labels, said, ‘The ease of use and effectiveness of Vickers energy management system is excellent, making the necessary adjustments in the background, with no disruptions to daily operations. Not only has the system saved us money; it has also doubled the pledge.’

David Hilton from Vickers Energy Group said, ‘The level of savings that Etiquette Labels has made is a testament to the advanced intuitive technology used within energy management systems. On average, we help companies reduce consumption by 43%, so we are really pleased with the results. The company has a fantastic commitment to carbon reduction and we look forward to working with Etiquette again in future.’

Vickers has recently been awarded with the accolades of Energy Product of the Year at the Environment and Energy Awards 2014, a Gold Green Apple Award within the Energy Saving category, Green Business of the Year at the Trafford Business Awards and is accredited by the Carbon Trust.
