FTA Europe will hold a symposium titled ‘We are flexo – welcome to the future’ at the Italian trade exhibition for converting, package printing and labelling, Converflex held at the Fiera Milano from 19-23 May.

Atif, the Italian technical flexo association and FTA Europe, the European flexo federation will talk about the future of flexo focusing on which activities both national and European associations foresee to support this industry and which goals will be set in order to promote their members activities.

Chris Jones, a conductive ink and print specialist from Novalia, will illustrate how printed electronics and printed capacitive touch sensors can provide a valuable update on existing applications and potential opportunities for printers in the narrow web flexo market.

‘By combining mainstream equipment, consumables and expertise, flexo printers can create state of the art printed electronics that bring the dimensions of touch, sound and vision into play to add real additional functionality or even ‘must have’ desirability to a product or its packaging, As well as printed circuit boards and transistors, print can deliver a variety of other mainstream applications.’
