During an open house held at Nilpeter USA’s newly renovated Technology Center, over 140 visitors were shown three of the company’s narrow web flexo presses.

New and emerging trends were displayed, discussed and demonstrated. On an FB-3300 press were shown a multi-web extended content label application. Visitors also had the opportunity to see an FB-3 press running two expanded gamut printing samples showing the full fixed palette application and the total job save and recall automation of the press. While a fully automated FA-4* was running wine and spirit labels with full flatbed processing of hot foil and embossing. The company also announced the release of the new Panorama product line of digital solutions.

Keynote speaker, Dr Charles Tonkin, provided an in-depth review of the future of packaging design with a deeper look at the consumer research being done to identify with packaging trends, packaging life cycle, and sustainability concerns, and rounding off with a look into the future of functional printing and printed electronics ­- all key indicators of the new and emerging trends of tomorrow’s packaging.

Nilpeter also announced its commitment to ongoing educational endeavours. In the first quarter of 2016, the Clemson University Graphics Communication Center will receive an FB-3 servo press. This press will allow a new generation of packaging innovators to research and create dynamic packaging solutions for the future.
