Comexi Proslit S1DT slitter rewinder
Leicester-based Clifton Packaging continue their expansion plans by investing in a Comexi Proslit S1DT slitter rewinder. The machine is already in use at the company’s production facility in Leicester and represents their continued strategy of purchasing market-leading technology for their expanding client portfolio.
The S1DT has top production speeds of 800 m/m and includes the latest automation features, such as turreted rewind shafts, laser knife and core positioning, automatic end of reel cutting / taping and automated pusher / articulated arm for maximised productivity and efficiency. The machine also has a separated unwind stand to enable the future addition of the Comexi Cingular Laser technology for bi-directional scoring and decorating of laminated materials.
This sale continues the growth of Comexi Proslit products in the UK and Ireland since the start of the Innovo Packaging Systems representation of Comexi Group in December 2014. Tim Hilton, sales director of Innovo Packaging Systems, said, ‘Partnering with Clifton Packaging is a great reference site for Comexi in the UK and we hope this is the first of many machines and the start of a long term relationship.’
