(Middle L-R) BCF’s CEO Tom Bowtell and BCF’s head of marketing Tania Morrill accept the award for Trade Association of the Year 2018

For the second year running, the British Coatings Federation has won “Trade Association of the Year” at the Trade Association Forum’s (TAF’s) 2018 Best Practice Awards. The BCF also picked up a win for “Publication of the Year” for its Annual Handbook and in the “Good Governance” category.

Commenting on the achievement, Linda Cavender, chief executive of TAF said, ‘BCF is a deserving winner of Trade Association of the Year in 2018 for the second year running. Only once in the history of the TAF Best Practice Awards has this happened before. BCF has a particularly inclusive nature and has had another fantastic year. The organisation is supremely professional and is a shining example of a trade association that others should aspire to emulate.’

‘Winning Trade Association of the Year for a second time running makes me hugely proud,’ commented Tom Bowtell, chief executive of the BCF. ‘I’d like to thank the BCF staff for their dedication and commitment to putting members first. 2018 has been a huge upheaval for the BCF team, moving over 100 miles to a new office in Coventry, and recruiting a new back office team. We now have a wonderful new home for our members, and this award is the icing on the cake for another momentous year for the Federation.’
