ePS has released CommandCore 2026.2, the latest version of its software platform for packaging manufacturers, introducing a range of new features across estimating, production planning, manufacturing execution, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and workflow automation.

The update focuses on helping manufacturers standardise operational processes, improve workflow efficiency and expand the use of artificial intelligence (AI) across production and business management.

According to ePS, the release has been developed in response to ongoing workforce challenges within the packaging industry, including the retirement of experienced employees and the need to capture operational knowledge within software systems.

Among the updates is the introduction of pre-defined route templates in the Radius Estimating module. The feature enables estimators to create standardised production routes that can be reused across similar jobs, supporting greater consistency during the estimating process.

The Paxis ERP solution for label and tag converters has also been updated with expanded AI-powered translation capabilities designed to support multilingual users. Additional enhancements include security updates, reporting improvements, revised job costing functionality and new pricing options.

For corrugated packaging manufacturers, the latest release introduces a browser-based Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Hub. The web interface provides production teams with access to order information, production schedules, trim analysis and performance indicators from connected devices. A new Trim Advisor Web feature has also been added, using AI to analyse historical production data and assist planners in selecting material combinations and roll widths.

The update also expands automation capabilities within AC4D Packing Station Advanced through integration with robotic palletising systems. The software is designed to communicate production and quality control information to automated palletising equipment while managing pallet allocation and associated production transactions.

Within the PrintFlow 4D scheduling application, a new Order Promising function allows users to simulate production schedules and generate projected delivery dates for prospective orders without affecting the live production plan. The software also introduces grouping functions intended to improve production scheduling by reducing press changeovers.

Artificial intelligence features have also been expanded within Radius ERP. New tools include an Estimate Win Predictor, which analyses historical data to assess the likelihood of quotations converting into orders, and a Customer Churn Predictor designed to identify accounts that may require additional attention. An AI assistant has also been integrated into the platform to provide workflow support.

Elsewhere, Metrics ERP has been updated with new scrap management capabilities, expanded regulatory compliance functionality and enhanced banking integration, enabling a wider range of financial processes to be managed directly within the system.

“Packaging manufacturers are facing a real knowledge-transfer challenge,” said Craig Tait chief product officer at ePS. “CommandCore 2026.2 helps plants capture the expertise of their best people and make it repeatable across the business, from estimating and planning, to production control, and customer commitments.”

FlexoTech reported on the initial release of the platform in April 2026.
