The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) is looking to strengthen technical education and training across the flexographic printing industry, establishing a new task force to review its training programs, and inviting members of the flexo community to provide feedback on training priorities through a short survey.
The Training Programs Task Force will review and expand the FTA’s existing training initiatives. The group, which includes industry professionals, has been tasked with assessing current educational resources, identifying potential gaps, and recommending improvements to better support workforce development.
According to FTA, the initiative is intended to ensure its training programmes remain relevant to the evolving technical requirements of the flexographic industry. The review will focus on aligning educational opportunities with the skills and knowledge increasingly required in modern flexographic production.
As part of the process, FTA is inviting members of the flexographic community to take part in a short survey designed to gather feedback on training priorities. The survey aims to identify the types of training that would be most valuable to individuals and organisations, areas where additional knowledge or skills development may be needed, and ways to improve the accessibility and effectiveness of FTA’s educational offerings.
The association said responses from industry participants will help inform the Task Force’s recommendations and shape the future direction of its training programmes. It added that broad participation will help ensure that future initiatives reflect the needs of the wider flexographic community.
Through its Foundation of the Flexographic Technical Association, the organisation says it is continuing efforts to support professional development in the sector under the training principle of “by the industry, for the industry”. The foundation develops educational programmes intended to address the practical needs of professionals working throughout the flexographic supply chain.
