XSYS has expanded its partnership with Hamillroad Software, bringing Hamillroad’s Bellissima screening technology to a wider base of flexo printers worldwide.

The collaboration will see Bellissima integrated more closely with XSYS’s flexographic plates and hardware portfolio, with the companies stating that the combined offering is intended to support improved print quality, production consistency and operational performance.

As part of the agreement, XSYS and Hamillroad will continue supporting Bellissima with the nyloflex ITP-60 plate (which was part of the MacDermid acquisition by XSYS that completed last year) while extending compatibility across additional XSYS plates, Thermoflex imagers and Catena-E processing systems. The companies said this broader ecosystem is designed to provide printers with optimised tools to enhance packaging output, production efficiency and sustainability.

Dr Alexander Unterschuetz, CEO of XSYS, said: “This renewed partnership offers the industry an alternative workflow and platemaking solution for high-end flexo prepress. Combined with the upcoming third-generation Thermoflex Edge laser imager and nyloflex plates, it will enable outstanding output at unprecedented speeds and delivering clear added value for our customers.”

Pierre Hammond, interim CEO and commercial director at Hamillroad Software, said the partnership “opens the door for more flexo printers to tap into Bellissima’s unmatched fidelity, cost savings, and environmental benefits”. He added: “By integrating with nyloflex plates and Thermoflex hardware, we’re making it even easier for printers to elevate print quality and drive operational performance. We’re excited to bring these advantages to more customers through our work with XSYS.”

The companies said the partnership reflects a continued focus on developing high-performance platemaking solutions and supporting printers in meeting evolving requirements around quality, efficiency and environmental considerations.
