XSYS has completed the rollout of a dual-manufacturing strategy across its flexo plate portfolio, enabling its core production sites in the US and Germany to both manufacture the company’s key products. The development indicates the integration of legacy XSYS and MacDermid Graphics Solutions operations, following the acquisition of MacDermid, reported by FlexoTech in March 2025.

According to XSYS, the move is intended to improve supply security and product availability by ensuring that critical product lines can be manufactured at more than one location. Technologies that were previously produced at a single site are now available from both facilities.

As part of the transition, the ITP 60 plate, now included in the nyloflex product portfolio, is also being manufactured in Willstätt, Germany, while the nyloflex FTV plate is now produced in Morristown, Tennessee. XSYS said production processes, specifications and quality control systems have been aligned between the two sites to ensure consistent performance regardless of manufacturing location.

“This milestone shows how our integration directly translates into real benefits for our customers,” said Dr Timo Schwickart, chief commercial officer at XSYS. “By investing in backup manufacturing capabilities across our core sites, we are reinforcing our commitment to continuity, strengthening trust, and building a robust foundation for long-term partnership.”

The dual-manufacturing model forms part of XSYS’s wider post-merger strategy, which focuses on operational alignment, scalability and manufacturing governance. The company said it has also increased collaboration between its sites and expanded internal technical expertise to support the approach.

XSYS added that the country-of-origin designations “Made in USA” and “Made in Germany” would continue to apply, with both sites operating under a unified global manufacturing framework.
