US label and packaging printer NextGen Label Group is to instal its third 22-inch wide Nilpeter press at the end of the year, and says the investment will expand its production capacity, strengthen operational flexibility and add redundancy across its facilities.

The FA-Line press will have nine colour stations, ABG automatic unwind/rewind units and embellishments such as cold foil, spot varnish and tactile lamination.

President and CEO Dan Rosenbaum said the investment will help NextGen Label Group to deliver on its promise of brand custodianship “by protecting the integrity of our customer’s brand, helping optimise the shelf impact of their packaging and providing the next generation of innovative solutions they demand”. Chief operations officer Nick Noyes added: “By investing in this new press, NextGen Label Group continues to deliver measurable benefits to our customers, including the expanded customisation options, superior print precision and consistent quality needed to help brands stand out and succeed.”

The group represents the merged assets of Syracuse Label & Surround Printing, Macaran Printed Products and W.N. Van Alstine. It operates in a wide range of sectors, including Spirits, Non-Alcoholic Beverage, Household, Health, Beauty, Industrial, Medical and Cannabis. Products manufactured include pressure sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, flexible packaging, RFID labels and extended content & promotional labels.

It operates print production facilities in two sites in New York state, and with the latest Nilpeter press due to be fully operational by Q1 2026, will have a total of 20 presses running in these locations.
