Saica Group’s Dublin facility has become the first of its UK & Ireland sites to achieve the BRCGS (Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards) AA certification under the updated Version 7 framework – marking the “highest” grade awarded by the global food safety and quality standard.

The AA rating, which indicates full compliance with the standard and no non-conformances, recognises the Dublin facility’s performance in areas such as manufacturing processes, hygiene, quality control, and food safety. The certification follows a process that began in November 2024 and included internal reviews, documentation checks, and a pre-audit assessment to identify and address potential gaps ahead of the formal audit.

The site’s preparation was led by the quality and management teams, with support from cross-functional departments. Internal audits and improvement measures were carried out to align practices with the standard’s evolving requirements. Audit findings and compliance progress were regularly communicated to employees, reinforcing accountability and a shared focus on continuous improvement.

Commenting on the achievement, Simon Banks, country manager for Saica Pack UK and Ireland, said the result reflects strong cross-departmental collaboration and a culture of high standards. He added: “Maintaining the AA rating is a testament to the commitment across all teams and demonstrates to stakeholders our focus on safety, compliance, and product quality.”
