Signing of the sale took place during Labelexpo Europe between Jack Willemsz, owner of W&R Etiketten and Arnaud Fleuren, MPS area sales manager, who raised a celebratory glass to their successful cooperation.
MPS has confirmed the sale of a sixth flexo press to W&R Etiketten, a Dutch label printer headquartered in Tilburg, the Netherlands. The company purchased an EF 430 mm web width flexo press with eight colours and APC (Automated Print Control) package, joining five flexo presses currently running full label production.
W&R Etiketten has been an MPS customer for many years, since the purchase of its very first press back in 2000. Owner Jack Willemsz also had an integral role in the inauguration ceremony for the new MPS headquarters in Arnhem earlier this year, delivering a speech during the opening ceremony and unveiling the press manufacturer’s new printing productivity logo.
Founded in 1992, W&R Etiketten has grown into a specialist in the production of a range of self-adhesive labels: from blank labels to full-colour premium designs. With five MPS flexo presses, two digital presses, die-cutters and its own pre-press and design studio, the company is today recognised as a significant player on the Dutch label market. In the food industry, where the company has its primary focus, it sees a growing demand for multi-colour, specialised labels with applications requiring print on the back or the adhesive side of the label. The new press has been ordered in response to this trend.
Mr Willemsz explained his choice of printing press, ‘This was a logical step for us. We have experienced many years of exceptional support from MPS and are extremely satisfied with the output of our current five presses. The new EF press will enhance our existing range of print machinery and enable us to extend additional flexibility to our customers, with the ability to interchange production between our various machines.’
