New slitters to be installed in Frimpeks UK site
Frimpeks has invested in an expansion plan which will see the company’s Saxmundham site extended by a further 25,000 sqft allowing room to expand its coating line to incorporate greater automation and flexibility.
In addition to the coating line a new slitter incorporating fully automated packing lines is being installed in 2016 at the Saxmundham property.
UK managing director Dave Casey commented, ‘This announcement underlines our commitment to following through on its five year plan. The site expansion and new plant will increase capacity and follows a similar investment at our sister plant in Remscheid Germany. The hot melt coating capability will provide the flexibility and capacity our growing customer base demand and will give us a basis to continue our growth plans and serve the European market.’
Saxmundham already manufactures and distributes self-adhesive laminates, inks and digital media. The company offers a comprehensive range of face materials including papers, polypropylene, polyethylene and vinyl, as well as a wide range of liners.
