Seventy F4 presses have been sold since it was launched in 2010

Comexi has reached a milestone as work begins on manufacturing its 70th Comexi F4 press since it was launched in 2010.

Brand manager Raul Elfakdi said, ‘Comexi F4 has become a key element for the flexographic printing development in its six years on the market. The Comexi F4 was designed as a high performance press for short and medium runs. This is a high-demand sector which requires continuous changes.’

F4 is an efficient press for short-runs with its 720 -920 mm wide and a 600 mm maximum format. This press was the first to incorporate FLEXOEfficiency patented concepts, with ergonomics and accessibility as well as performance and robustness.

Among other features, press has pipe-less magnetic blades, allowing the printing unit to change in less than one minute. The machine also has other technical elements to minimise strip wear. In addition, the Comexi F4 incorporates the Direct Direct Drive system to synchronise the central drum and the mandrels. This process is possible through encoders mounted directly on the axis, improving the reading accuracy and print register.

The Comexi F4 is able to print eight colors with different formats from 240 to 600 mm, widths up to 920 mm and a speed of 300 m/min.
